Newsletter Nr. 13, October 2010

Dear reader

Recently you cooled down in the lake and now, days are closing in. During long autumn walks through rustling leaves you look back to the summer and may even think of the future. Winter has not yet arrived, but sunbeams are getting weaker and soon time has come to take out gloves and a scarf from the wardrobe. Maybe you want to escape to warmer places. Then an international workcamp can be the best possibility to do so. Teach kids in Thailand, safe en-dangered marine turtles in Mexico or help with the harvest of olives in Turkey.

Book two - pay one

For all those who want to go last minute, we offer a discount. Book two workcamps and just pay one. This discount applies for all biweekly workcamps abroad. There are still some last mi-nute places left. Sign up today and go already tomorrow to preferred workcamp.

The complete program can be found on our online search engine. Choose your criterias such as countries, period or type of camps to limit the choice. This makes your search much easier.

Contact us, we will assist you with finding the right workcamp: info@workcamp.ch or 043 317 19 30.

Paid internship in Wales

Our partner association UNA Exchange in Wales is looking for an intern in the field of interna-tional voluntary placements. Very good English skills, in oral form and in written form, are required. In the office there are six employees and some volunteers who all work on a voluntary base. Working time will be from Monday to Friday from 9:30 to 17:30. Occasionally there are some meetings in the evening or at the weekend, which are compensable.

The association provides a flat in Cardiff close to local traffic. Additionally, you will receive £200 per month for food and pocket money. In your spare time you can do sightseeing trips or plan excursions. There will be also the possibility to visit other projects in different regions of Wales. All those who are interested please contact us at info@workcamp.ch (person in charge: Simone Thommen Awe).

Period: 1st February until 30th June 2010

Application deadline: 5th November 2010

Accommodation will be in a motel in a pine forest close to the beach and lakes. Food will be cooked. The small village Nova is located close to the sea, approximately 80km west of Tallinn, the capital of Estland. Volunteers won't work. Instead they will do several activities. Voluntary work for our association

Are you proactive, creative and motivated for a voluntary job in your free time? Would you like to share your knowledge and experiences with our association board? Voluntary work for our association guarantees exciting and varying tasks, experiences in extra-school youth work, contacts to people from all over the world and a challenge which sticks out in your cv.
Since we are a small association, we are glad about any support. Experiences in association works are preferred, but not a must-have.
Planning for the upcoming season is already in process, so we are happy about your help.

Interested? Please contact our president Andreas Schneider, andreas.schneider@workcamp.ch.

Next newsletter will be sent in December. In the meantime we wish all of you a wonderful autumn.
