Workcamps abroad
High season of camps is in general the summertime. But
also in spring, autumn or winter you have the chance to volunteer in exciting
and adventurous projects and to get to know other cultures. Workcamps
generally last 2 to 4 weeks, but also midterm or longterm projects are
offered.
Teach Vietnamese children in English, safe endangered
Mexican turtles or organise an international festival in Moscow.
About 70 organisations worldwide offer different kind
of projects, short term as 2 weeks projects, midterm and longterm as 3
months up to half a year, in Europe or overseas.

Workcamp in Mexico "World Heritage"
*First camp in Mexico without special fee
Through this project we have the goal of helping in the
maintenance of the historic Morelia's downtown declared world's heritage
by UNESCO and to preserve all its splendor and beauty. Volunteers will
contribute to preserve this site declared world's heritage in 1991 through
realizing several maintenance tasks such as restoration of ancient fountains
and painting ancient buildings. There are foreseen as well some activities
orientated to improve the road safety through putting sings for handicapped
people.
Volunteers will be hosted in a private house with all
facilities at disposal: beds, kitchen, hot water, etc. The official language
of the work-camp is English, but some Spanish, would be appreciated.

Special Workcamp in Greenland
Extra fee 250 euro
Greenland is an unique and beautiful country, with a
fantastic nature and culture. There is however also social problems, especially
in Nuuk where drug abuse and alcohol are widespread. This Workcamp will
focus on giving kids and youth a fun and attractive alternative to just
be hanging around in the streets. This Workcamp will focus on giving information
the connection between a healthy diet, exercise and the ability to learn,
cooking, sports and social activities.
The main task of the Workcamp is to give the kids and
youth of Nuuk a positive summer experience with adults who are present
and care. This will be done with a special focus on healthy food and exercise,
so activities which deals with this, such as cooking food together and
playing games where the kids get exercise and other social activities
will be task during the Workcamp.
Requirements: Volunteers must be minimum
20 years. We would kindly ask you to attach a motivation letter with your
application, in brief telling about you and why you want to go.

Workcamp in Brazil "First Flora"
The Reserva Natural Janaina is about 300 km south of Salvador de Bahia
in Brazil. It is a private area of virgin rain forest, protected according
to the Brazilian federal laws through the efforts of FirstFlora, an enterprise
for sustainable development that manages the area with some local NGOs
and develops permacultural path and production especially of cocoa for
the Fair Trade network. The project will be focused on: working in the
cocoa plantation, cataloguing cocoa trees, helping for reforestation with
endemic species to expand the buffer areas of the reserve, Permaculture,
fire monitoring and preventing hunt.
The volunteers will be hosted in a spartan wooden house in hammock or
tents for the ones who bring them. The Volunteers must be in excellent
physical condition because of the humidity, temperature, and thermal gap.
The baggage must be only a backpack easy to transport on shoulder and
weight a total of no more than 15 kg.
