Since 2015, Workcamp Switzerland has been committed to the integration of refugees in volunteer work in Switzerland. Asylum seekers are given an opportunity to make a charitable contribution to work and at the same time get to know culture and people better.

A refugee in the asylum procedure has few opportunities to pursue employment. Long waiting times lead to gaps in the asylum seeker’s education or professional career and demotivation. Volunteering makes it possible to break through this lengthy waiting process, gain new motivation and gain practical work experience. It is also an opportunity to identify and support the individual abilities of asylum seekers in the professional, social and practical fields. The language can be tested and used in a practical environment – the work done serves as proof of further employment. The feeling of togetherness within the group of volunteers, the appreciation on the part of the project partners and the local population and personal growth are in the foreground.

All the programmes 2019 worldwide are published on the SEARCH ENGINE.
