Many refugees suffer the consequences of war, hunger and violence and are severely traumatized. To strengthen their psychological resilience, Workcamp Switzerland offers informal learning activities in some of our volunteer projects.
In order to strengthen the psychological resilience of refugees, the following preventive factors are being fostered: self-confidence (self-esteem, self-assurance), but also the feeling of belonging to a group and the ability to actively build relationships.
Also in 2020 we continue our cooperation with a clown pedagogue Nadja Moraes.

She will offer a workshop lasting some days in the following camps :
Valle Bavona (Ticino) 02.08.2020 – 15.08.2020
Work: The volunteers will live and work for a foundation that maintains a nature reserve. They contribute to the preservation of the traditional rural heritage by mowing fields and gardens, cutting grass and plants, and repairing or building stone walls and houses. The work is physically demanding and takes place outdoor.
